Well, MacGyver's floathome looks a little different than you might remember it. We think it's an improvement, hope you do too!
As you can see, the biggest change from the show is the basic color. If you remember, it used to be the old original aged gray cedar. We decided to pay homage to the water theme so we went for a lovely Mediterranean blue. After we added the railings, we set off all the trim with a deep glossy black. To make it pop, we opted for a wild lime green on all three doors. To finish it off, a tomato red awning over the fireplace entry door area allows a covered smoking area for our guests. The outside is pretty well done, just a couple more touches inside and we'll be ready to put 'er up!!!
Personally I think the houseboat should have been left in it's original color. The first thing i'd do if I were to buy that house is restore it back to it's nostalgia that was macgyver and the traditional grey. As soon as I saw the updated photos of what it looks like, I was like holy sh*t was that a god awful color to paint that house.
ReplyDeleteThe inside looks good though. The outside.. not so much. Bad taste in colors.
should restore it to the old color from the show.. somebody would buy that up with no problem. Color is a good idea to a certain degree.. but the old grey house was what mac's home was. Goodluck.
